Happy New Year from the JS Team

Welcome to the inaugural issue of Jam Session Magazine or JS, whose articles you can read monthly here at this website. History's called time on 2017. It is simple really, last year is consigned to history, change is ahead. Cut your losses, close the book and trade up. To look for context, insight, and plain old common sense. We think it is a great argument

In our inaugural special feature we present three main articles;
Cheryl Phoenix founder of “The Black Child Agenda”, works in supporting children and parents for whom the educational system in the UK remains a minefield of exclusion. It is a must read. Dougy's article reveals an utterly hidden narrative running through Urban Britain. Charting the success of a decades old family business. A story that is not always the stuff of daily headlines. Julie Valentine covers our first ever issue, one of Manchester's premiere voices. At work rest and play, relationships are at the heart of our interactions. We all hurt, so how do you heal?  How do you do the maintenance? How do you cruise in the chaos of modern life? Qui Shen has a philosophical outlook to help keep you straight.

Launched without the Hoo Haa, Jam Session echoes our stories, hitting a note with striking similarity. Countless hours have been spent putting this issue together. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did in our efforts. Some things are hard to define; Jam Session stands by its unapologetic content. Be well read and add us to your collections of sensible things.

Thanks to all our many contributors.
